I am going to cancun for a month and want to visit either Cuba or Belize or maybe even both while Im there! An

Im a 27 year old single male from Chicago! Where would be best for me to visit? Is Cuba safe for Americans? How about Belize? Money is somewhat limited so what should I do?
Ill be out there from mid April till mid May

Since I am Belizean, of course I will say Belize. There are lots of things to do there. You can go snorkeling, diving in the cayes, or see various cultures down south, like the Garifuna. There are also the Maya ruins spread throughout the country. There is the Jaguar Reserve, where you can view these great animals in their natural habitat. It depends on what tickles your fancy. Plus there is a large Belizean community in Chicago, so you mention you’re from there and its like you’re a part of the family!! One word of advice, stay away from Belize City, especially at night. Everywhere else in the country is pretty cool, especially the cayes.
